When studying photography in college, my work generally consisted of dramatic high fashion type artistic shots. Many of my classmates enjoyed taking pictures of small details of life– a piece of thread on the ground, a broken VCR, etc. That just wasn’t my forte. I liked to create beautiful breathtaking pieces of art– always of people, with great lighting, fashionable clothing, yet at the same time there had to be something incorporated to make it a true “wow shot”. My work was never cheesy or ordinary.

Artistic Photojournalistic Style for Wedding Photography

As someone who also has a bit of a natural knack for writing and telling stories, I also loved to shoot photojournalistic type shoots- but would incorporate my own artistic style into every shot. I did this by choosing unique backgrounds, using dramatic lighting, angles, and making sure I got that one special moment.

When I shot my first wedding, I fell in love. I loved not only telling a story of the love between every couple I shoot, documenting every detail of that special day– but also showing it in such a way that many of my clients when they see their shots comment that they “look like they belong in a magazine!”. I’ve refined my skills and techniques at weddings over the years, found a great team of other talented photographers, and eventually started working full time as an LA Wedding Photographer and Destination Wedding Photographer. I love my work and my clients!
